Each Saturday morning, after surfing, I dive into cleaning my home from top to bottom. While the house is not enormous, my habits throughout the week leave a towering mess that sucks up my beloved Saturday. So, for the last couple of weeks I have been trying to implement a new approach to cleaning. The idea is to break that big block of work customarily completed by me on the weekend, and do smaller pieces during the week.
In theory it seems all too obvious, but in reality it is harder than it sounds. However, I think I can see the value of the new approach and highly recommend it. In fact, not only is it less work on the weekend, but the house looks better longer. So, I now throw in a load of laundry on Tuesday evening, fold it on Wednesday and put it away on Thursday. I also do preliminary elimination of anything outdated in the refrigerator and wash the shelves down on Thursday. I will not bore you with the other details, because I think you get the gist. But, the change has made a nice difference when my Saturday rolls around, and I recommend it.
