One thing that always livens up a space is living plants. So few people put the time in to nurture indoor plants, but it can be really simple. So I view this is a major area of impact that is overlooked. If you want to add some vavavavoom, or spruce things up I say turn to plants.

A great example of a wonderful design often seen out of doors, the topiary, works wonders indoors as well. Another item that catches ones eye is small fruit trees. After all, a miniature lemon tree emanates a distinct feeling of freshness and is truly lovable. These are not expensive items, but they do pack some visual punch. Do not be surprised if after buying one plant you buy several more because they will find a place in your heart.
