Pretty soon it will be time to swap out winter clothes, accessories and shoes for spring ones. Many of us will cram our boots, scarves and mittens into unattractive cardboard boxes that may be misshapen by this point as they are not a perfect fit. Consider this as a brilliant alternative. Make drawstring pouches for those winter wardrobe pieces that really do need the right dimensions for storage. They can still be stached away under the bed, but when made with wonderful patterned fabrics and contrasting drawstrings, you will want to be able to see these happy holders regularly.

To make these bags you will require the following:

* At least two contrasting fabrics (You will have to judge the amount based upon the size of the item you plan to put inside. One will be for the pulls, the other for the bag itself. You can of course switch them up too, for visual interest.

* Sewing supplies and machine

* Iron

* Narrow bias tape

Should you find you have leftover material, make smaller pouches for jewellery, and travel ones for your undergarments, or toiletries. Nothing need go to waste with this project.
